Thought i would post a little advert inspiration. I recently saw the newest Coca-Cola advert on television and it reminded me a lot of the famous John Lewis one with the split screen and different time periods, as this advert follows the same sort of path. Again, I love the use the of the split screen and feel it would work exceptionally well in our music videos as it really creates a sense of a story throughout. The factor of showing different time periods with one similar item throughout, in this case being the coke bottle works really well also, illustrating the changing of times and society. I feel that with the right song, this type of music video would be successful in displaying this point of view.

Breaking Bad
I've been addicted to 'Breaking Bad' for a while now and after watching numerous amounts of episodes, time lapses appear in near enough every showing. The time lapses used are he most effective and incredible ones I have seen used in a programme and are often of the sun setting and the passing of time in the desert. I think we should definitely use these sorts of shots in our music video as they would complete the whole video and create a really unique and powerful visual overall.
Here is a compilation of some of the time lapses used in 'Breaking Bad' some are more effective than others, especially the nature shots.

American History X
So recently I watched the film 'American History X' and as it is getting closer to the time of starting to produce our music videos I started to get some ideas and inspiration. Throughout this film, the use of both black and white is used continuously and looks really effective as it creates a unique and constantly changing visual, illustrating the positive and negatives of the film, in order to keep the viewers interested. I think this editing technique would be really effective in our own music videos and worth considering.
